Abstract

These notes contain overview of DataDefractor 1.1 SR-2 released on August 22, 2007.
The document includes enhancements, fixes of issues, backwards compatibility notes as well as system requirements.

Notes

This release includes bug fixes and new features introduced as a result of the user feedback from DataDefractor SSIS 1.1 SR-1.

New features

The new features of DataDefractor SSIS 1.1 SR-2 include:

• Microsoft Windows Vista support

Bug Fixes

This release includes fixes for the following issues:

• DataDefractor fails to read particular third-party generated Excel files.
• Installation fails when executed on a machine with missing C drive.
• Installation fails on a 64-bit machine without MSXML 6.0 SP-1.
• DataDefractor fails to read Excel 2007 macro enabled XLSM files.
• DataDefractor Wizard is invoked every time a DataDefractor SSIS Source component is pasted on the SSIS data-flow canvas.

Backward compatibility

DataDefractor 1.1 SR-2 is backwards compatible with SSIS packages built with previous releases of the product.

  • Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows XP SP2 operating system, Windows Server 2003 SP1,Windows 2000 SP4.
    DataDefractor has native 64-bit support for the x64-bit editions of the operating systems.
  • SQL Server 2005 Integration Services.
  • .NET Framework 2.0.
• Hardware Requirements:
  • 600 MHz Pentium III-compatible or faster processor; 1 GHz or faster processor recommended.
  • 512 MB of RAM or more.
  • 50 MB of available hard disk space recommended.
  • Super VGA (1,024x768) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor.
